Dr. Jonathan Valamides,
Optometrist
Dr. Valamides was born in Fort Worth. His passion for optometry began by watching his grandfather practice in his hometown of Arlington. He played baseball and graduated from Arlington High in 1999. In 2003 he completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at The University of Texas at Arlington and earned a Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 2007.
Dr. Valamides is a Texas Board of Optometry certified therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. He has spent his entire career in private practice and at Vision City Watauga since 2016. He fell in love with the people and the area, and purchased the practice in the fall of 2018. Dr. Valamides believes sight is our greatest gift. He is committed to this community and looks forward to meeting you and providing friendly, honest, comprehensive eyecare to all members of your family for years to come.

Away from the office he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, sketching, hiking/kayaking and travel. Dr. Valamides has been married to his lovely wife Audra since 2004. They have two sons and two dogs that keep them very busy.
